Frisian Museum

The Frisian Museum is a northen cultural hotspot for the whole family that is completely dedicated to the Frisians and Friesland! Amazing, interesting and ever-changing exhibitions from, among others, the eleven cities, M.C. Escher and the Middle Ages bring you completely into the atmosphere of the northernmost province of the Netherlands.

The Frisian Restistance Museum is part of the Frisian Museum, where you can hear the most beautiful stories that move, challange and encourage thinking. You will learn how the Second World War was experiences in Friesland through eyewitnesses and objects with personal histories that bring the reality of that war very close.
