HOUSE RULES

Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden has outlined a number of house rules that specify what is expected of visitors within the Hotel and what you can expect from us. By entering the Hotel, you agree to the house rules as outlined below. All instructions from Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden staff related to the house rules must be followed immediately.

GENERAL HOUSE RULES FOR YOUR AND OUR SAFETY

The staff of Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden watch over your safety, and in case of emergencies, the emergency plan will be activated. You are kindly but urgently requested to follow any instructions from the staff. At Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden, we treat each other with respect, and therefore, it is forbidden to make insulting or discriminatory remarks. It is also prohibited to sexually intimidate our guests and staff by word or gesture (action). To maintain peace, order, and safety within Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden, it is forbidden to use or threaten violence. Cameras are installed in various places within the hotel. Everyone in our hotel consents to being recorded. In case of emergencies and/or incidents, these recordings may be shown to third parties as supporting material. Lost items should be handed in at the reception. Do not leave your belongings unattended at the location of Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden and in your car. Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden is not liable for the loss, damage, or theft of your belongings. Parking, both in the parking lot and in the vicinity of Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden, is at your own risk. Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden does not make its location available for purposes other than those specified in our policy; therefore, it is forbidden to trade, sell goods, or offer services. The amount of an already paid room will not be refunded. In all cases not covered by these regulations, the management of Van der Valk Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden will decide.

FIRE

Stay calm in case of fire! Report the fire immediately to the reception (dial 9) or alert the staff by breaking the nearest fire alarm. Stay low to the ground in case of heavy smoke. In case of a general fire alarm, leave the building as quickly as possible. In case of fire, follow the instructions of the hotel staff and the regular hotel procedures. On each hotel room door, there is a map showing the nearest emergency exits and instructions. EMERGENCY EXITS All emergency exits are clearly marked in the corridors and equipped with emergency lighting. The emergency exits are only to be used in case of fire or upon staff instruction. Therefore, it is not allowed to use the emergency exits as normal entrances and exits.

ACCIDENT

In case of an accident, call 112 immediately and report it to the reception (dial 9). Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden employs company emergency responders. They are trained to assess certain situations and initiate external professional assistance quickly.

CHECK-IN

Anyone 18 years or older can book a room. In each travel party, both guests must be at least 18 years old. A valid ID must be presented at check-in. Check-in is possible from 15:00, and check-out must be done before 11:00. If you wish to stay longer or book a late check-out (until max. 17:00 and only possible in our standard rooms and only based on availability), you must inform us by 11:00 at the latest. The extension must also be paid for by 11:00, after which we will extend your room key. It is not allowed to stay in your room with more guests than reserved. After 23:00, it is not allowed to receive outside guests in your hotel room. Visitors are required to register at the reception desk. After 23:00, the annex is closed and only accessible with a room key. Guests without a prior reservation can only check in at the main building. CAMERA SURVEILLANCE Cameras are installed in various places within the hotel. Everyone in our hotel consents to being recorded. In case of emergencies and/or incidents, these recordings may be shown to third parties as supporting material.

THEFT

Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings.

LOST AND FOUND ITEMS

You can contact the reception for lost or found items. Food or drink left in a checked-out room will be thrown away.

HOTEL PROPERTY It is forbidden to take hotel property outside the building. In case of intentional damage to Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden property, one may be held liable for repair and/or replacement costs.

NARCOTICS

Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden must comply with the requirements of the Alcohol and Catering Act; therefore, alcoholic beverages are not served to visitors under 18 years of age. In case of doubt about the age of a visitor, Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden staff may ask you to show an ID. To maintain a pleasant atmosphere during your stay, no alcohol will be served to persons suspected of being intoxicated. To provide you and your party with a pleasant stay, it is forbidden to possess, use, or trade (soft) drugs (including nitrous oxide cartridges or a water pipe) or weapons. WEAPONS It is not allowed for anyone within our hotel to possess or carry weapons. If found, the police and judiciary will be contacted.

NOISE NUISANCE

To maintain peace in the immediate vicinity of Hotel Hardegarijp-Leeuwarden, it is not allowed to cause noise nuisance. We apply a one-time warning policy. If this is not followed, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately to ensure the peace for our other hotel guests.

ZERO TOLERANCE

It is not allowed:

To be present in the room with more persons than the number for which the reservation was made. These persons must identify themselves at the reception. To smoke in the room. If we find that smoking has occurred in the room, we are forced to charge €250.00 for cleaning costs. This fine will also be charged for covering and/or disabling the smoke detector. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, we will charge you the call-out costs of the fire department at €275.00. To light (tealight) candles in the room. To cause nuisance in and around the hotel with loud music, rude behavior, and/or noise of any kind. To consume, use, and/or trade narcotics. To consume, use, trade, or possess nitrous oxide and/or (cream) cartridges. To rent the room in your name without staying in the room yourself. We operate a zero tolerance policy. This means that, if these house rules are not followed, one warning will be given. If you do not comply with this, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately. No money will be refunded, and any deposit paid will be retained. By signing, you agree to comply with our house rules. Without a signature, we cannot check you in.
